Database Definitions

What is a database?

A database is any collection of information or data that is specifically prepared and organized for faster research and reception of information with a computer. Databases are formed for the necessity of storing, gathering information, changes, and removal of data cooperatively with different data processing functions. (Britannica, 2022)

-Secured for transfer of data, information

A Primary Key

Primary Key is used to identify specifically each database table column (or combination).

A primary key is a specific identifier, to retrieve the data or information required quickly. However, a database table could have only one primary key. (Techopedia, 2022)

A Secondary Key

In addition to the primary key, the secondary key is an alternative key, which is used to gather specific data and information. (IBM, 2022)
