Understanding Meta tags

 Meta Tag;

A meta tag is a Hypertext Markup Language(HTML) that identifies the contents and describes the aspect of the web page. (PCMAG, 2022)

Meta tags are hidden from viewers' views, but people can view them by looking into "Source/Page Source" from the browser menu. Besides people can see the information that meta tags contain such as; a general description of the page, keywords, and copyright information. (PCMAG, 2022)

Search engines have a display method for title tags and meta tags on the results page. Which shows a short summary of the distribution of meta tags and title tags. Correct usage of the keywords also helps to display the right results on the result page. (PCMAG, 2022)
